i think your hydrangea is really confused:)... i believe the color depends on the acidity/basicity of the soil... i guess yours is neutral :)... and i love those dew drops!

Sorry about the link error … I’ll try again when I finish commenting. Love your Hydrangea photos … mine is ‘confused’ as well, with very similar looking blossoms ;--)

If the Mr. Linky doesn’t work, perhaps this one will. Mine's up at Small Reflections: Almost WW #30
Hugs and blessings,

I love the dew picture, and the colors of the hydrangea.

Ooh, very pretty colors in the 2nd picture, but I love the green crispness of the leaves along with the fresh look of that water drop. :) Nice shots!

Verrrry nice. Hydrangeas come in such pretty colours these days. I have a bush - they start out green and turn white, then dry out to beige, love them.

I miss my hydrangeas. I love how you say she is confused. Maybe she's just going through a phase? LOL Trying to get her fashion sense down pat...

Carletta said... [ May 28, 2008 10:39 PM ]

Hi, I'm actually Carletta - I just noticed The Teach's comment - our names must be close on Mr. Linky and she forgot where she was.
Love the images - mine haven't bloomed yet - mine are supposed to be white - can't wait to see now!
Happy WW!

Wonderful flowers, at least you got two tone in ones :)

By the way, your post about the jar, I love that. Someone emailed that to me and I think I even made a post about it early on in my blogging.

Those are both great shots. I have had that happen on my hydrangea, but not on one blossom. I usually have pine straw around my hydrangea and it's blue but when I've raked up leaves around it, it starts to have some pinkish blossoms. I've never had half and half on one cluster like that. Very original.

Did you know?

Each day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S. - and each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born. As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes for all the animals. As a result, every year 4 to 6 million animals are euthanized because there are no homes for them.

What can you do to stop the suffering?

Spay and neuter your pet! In addition to saving lives, spaying and neutering can also drastically improve your pet's health and life expectancy. The idea that pets become fat or lazy when they are spayed or neutered is a myth. Sterilized pets lead healthier, longer lives. Spaying a female eliminates the possibility of uterine and ovarian cancer and greatly reduces the risk of breast cancer. Neutering a male reduces the risk of both prostate enlargement and prostate cancer. Neutering also will make your pet more affectionate and less likely to roam, get in fights, or become lost.
